In Mark 16:15-16, Jesus makes reference to "the gospel," commanding His disciples to preach it to every creature and offering salvation to all who believe and are baptized. In Romans 1:16-17, Paul makes reference to "the gospel," how he was not ashamed of it and how it is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe.

The word "gospel" (Gr., euaggelion) means "good news." It pertains to the good news of salvation through Christ and involves the proclamation of God's grace offered through Jesus. It requires a response involving obedience (1 Peter 4:17).

Together with the apostle Peter, we implore you "...Save yourselves from this untoward generation." (Acts 2:40). Respond as they did (in faith and baptism, Acts 2:41), and rest assured that Jesus will save you and add you to His church! (Acts 2:41,47)
