Theme: the importance of always telling the truth
INTRODUCTION
A. By lies of flattery, young people are persuaded to be sexually intimate outside of marriage. By countless denials, alcoholics and other addicts keep help at arm's length, dragging those who love them through the nightmares of their addiction. By lies of seduction, sexual predators convince children to follow with trust. By deception, marriages are betrayed, life savings are lost, and countless people are led to believe that there is no higher purpose than to live for themselves. By trickery, people are led away from God by "the father of lies." [1] [adapted]

The time to silence our tongues form lying is now! Let’s always work to put away from us lying to one another (Col. 3:9) any other falsehood (Eph. 4:25) and all guile (1Pe 2:1).
The most important reason is because God hates a lying tongue and a false witness.
