Intro to Studies
These studies/PowerPoints are not meant to infringe on any copyright. These are all done for personal/group study/presentation with no financial benefit to the compiler/editor/author of these studies. Most of the sources are specified, where they're not, it should be relatively easy to find on the net.
Age of the Earth
I put this one up as a .pdf. With nearly any pdf viewer, you can select single page and progress one page at a time, just like a powerpoint. The Powerpoint came out over 20MB...just a bit too large for some people to download and more than I have set up as an uploadable size right now. I may redo the other ones to a pdf also.
The importance of the age of the earth--Evolutionists have to believe the earth is billions of years old so they can feel better about some of their beliefs. If conclusive evidence can disprove this, obviously they have to rethink their entire evolutionary timeline.
(Quick summary--evidence is at best inconclusive for the most part, I'm as unhappy with young earth people using bad evidence as with misintrepretations by old earth. Best reasonable evidence leads to young earth.)
How Did Life Begin?
Apologetics 101: Section 3. Presenting probably the most popular athiestic views of How Life Began. (I say probably because there are a bunch and a new one may have just come out.) These are ones I found referred to multiple times.
Note: I use LibreOffice (www.libreoffice.org) and save in .ppt. Theoretically, the PowerPoint will show up fine--I have used just the PowerPoint Viewer-- but may have slight differences from the original .odp version.
Where did the Universe Come From
Apologetics 101: Section 2. The first section dealt with the existence of God. The second section deals with the universe, covering several of the most popular theories for material existences.
Note: I use LibreOffice (www.libreoffice.org) and save in .ppt. Theoretically, the PowerPoint will show up fine--I have used just the PowerPoint Viewer-- but may have slight differences from the original .odp version.
Christian Apologetics: Existence of God
The word "apologetics" confuses many into thinking that it refers to some kind of apologizing. Actually this word is not derived from the English world "apology", but from the Greek word "apologia", which refers to "making a defense". Apologetics is a general term, signifying a formal defense of any kind. Christian Apologetics is that branch of Christian theology that answers the question "Is Christianity believable?" The first lessons cover the Existence of God.
