I do not understand what I do...

My boy is a keen observer..of everything.  As we're driving down the road, he'll often point out cars, dogs, trees, whatever takes his interest.

A couple weeks ago he came up to me and stated—I have a floppy arm.

He talks very clearly, so I understood the words, but sometimes I have no clue what the meaning is—like in this case--so I said—What?

He repeated—I have a floppy arm.  See?

And he put his arm over his head and dropped it, of course it fell to his side.   He said—Guess that's just how God made me.

He told my wife one time—I try to be good, but sometimes my brain won't let me.  He's usually a good boy, but sometimes he skips the thinking part before he does something.

Paul wrote something similar in Romans 7:15-18 – I do not understand what I do; for I don't do what I would like to do, but instead I do what I hate.  Since what I do is what I don't want to do, this shows that I agree that the Law is right.  So I am not really the one who does this thing; rather it is the sin that lives in me.  I know that good does not live in me - that is, in my human nature. For even though the desire to do good is in me, I am not able to do it.
