  2. Consider wisdom on overhead.
    1. To know wisdom .
      1. Wisdom requires a seeking (1:1-6).
        The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
        To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
        To receive the instruction of wisdom; justice; judgement; and equity;
        To give subtlety to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
        A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
        To understand a proverb, and the interpretation: the words of the wise, and their sayings.

      2. Wisdom begains by the fear of God (1:7; 9:10; 15:33).

        The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility (15:33).

      3. Wisdom is becoming (1:8,9).
        My son, hear the instructionof thy father,and forsake not the law of thy mother:For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

      4. Wisdom is the principle thing (4:7)
        Wisdom is the principle thing: therefore get wisdom : and with all thy getting get understanding.

      5. Wisdom is to be attended (5:1)(given attention)
        My son, attended unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:
