This site is run for the purpose of spreading God's Word. I believe the Internet is the best medium now to do it.

When Jesus came, he arrived at a time when spreading the Gospel would be relatively easy. The Roman Empire was near the height of its power which provided opportunities that don't exist very often. One language was spoken throughout the world. Roman roads helped provide quick and easy (for the time) transportation. Commercial and religious centers like Rome, Athens, and Jerusalem provided crossroads to many neighboring cities.

In spite of this, unless a potential believer was at the right place at the right time, the message was not heard.

It's the same way today with radio and TV programs. If the potential believer is not watching the right channel at the right time, or listening to the right station at the right time, the message won't be heard. With print media (pamphlets, newspaper, etc) the right time doesn't matter, but distribution is the problem.

Now, conditions are again fantastic for spreading the gospel. The Internet provides the greatest opportunity ever. Distribution is worldwide, and infomation is available 24 hours a day. People worldwide can read anything else in the world. I've communicated with people in Australia, China, Phillipines, South America, Latin America, Africa, Europe, Asia, not to mention people in nearly every US state.

With barely more effort than already done for anyone using a computer, the gospel can be made available to millions of people worldwide for little or no cost. If you've written a sermon or lesson, usually the only people who will benefit are sitting in front of you upon delivery. With the net, modifying that information so it's available to people worldwide is relatively simple.

The HomeSite provides free sites in exchange for anticipated traffic, the more the merrier. Everything on the site is designed to increase the number of hits. More hits=more opportunities to spread the Word. If html design or coding is needed, no problem, we'll do it. If you already have a site and want to move it, no problem, we'll do it.

I know some people who consider the Internet to be Satan's tool. Many sites have detrimental, pornographic, or just bad information and pictures. Well, the same people would have considered books, magazines, radio, and TV in the same light if they had been here when those medias began. The Internet is just media. Whether it is God's tool or Satan's tool depends on how it is used.

I consider this a mission work with great potential.

If you're interested in a site for a study or a congregation, please contact me. I don't think you'll find a better deal anywhere. I now require enough information sent to me ahead of time for a site before I will begin any coding at all. I've done work for several congregations, setting up a site with their colors and layout, then didn't recieve any more info. Not good.

All pages (except for banners page, I think) should load in a reasonable amount of time even on a 28k connection. We've had hits from every continent on earth except Antarctica. I think one of the most annoying things on the net is connecting to a site and waiting for useless info to load (splash welcome page, javascript welcome page, welcome page with no info, etc.) Every web page should have useful information. The more I'm online (11 years now), the more I believe this.
